Supermarket
De Vogel recreation area has a supermarket of its own which sells its own brand articles, and can therefore definitely compete with the larger supermarkets. The supermarket even offers more: there are fresh warm rolls and croissants at any time of the day, a tasty extra while on holiday. |
Tennis court
Feel like a game of tennis during your holiday? You can, on the all-weather tennis court. And should you have forgotten to bring your rackets and balls, no problem. There are various makes and sizes waiting for you. |
Catering centre
The catering centre is the lively core of De Vogel recreation area and offers plenty of options to eat out in a relaxed atmosphere, varying from the cosy pub with its wide choice of snack food to the stylish àa carte restaurant. In addition, there is a room where all kinds of activities are organised daily in the high season. You can choose between a quick snack from the cafeteria. |
Sauna and sun studio
Holidays are all about relaxation and where better to do so than a sauna? De Vogel recreation area has a private sauna and sun studio, which is open every day. You can book it if you like, or simply drop in anytime during regular opening hours. Obviously, we presume that you will leave nicely tanned after a holiday in Zeeland Flanders, but in the unlikely event of the weather letting you down, you can always rely on the sunbed to give you the same beautiful suntan in no time. |
Sanitation
De Vogel recreation area provides extensive sanitary facilities which are spread all over the park. Plenty of attention is paid to the tots by means of special baby washing accommodation. De Vogel also features a large launderette, where you can do the laundry in no time. |
Playgrounds
The children's favourite activity will always be simply to play in the playground, which is why all kinds of recreation equipment are spread over the site of De Vogel recreation area. There are 3 large playgrounds which are geared to various age groups, and the uniquely designed recreation equipment around the site ensures that your children will never be bored. |
The lake
De Vogel recreation area is situated on a 30 acre large inland lake which guarantees a lot of fun. This lake is an ideal place for water sports such as canoeing, cycling on a pedal boat, rowing, surfing and sailing. But you can also go for a swim of course. There is a special swimmers' section where an artificial sand beach has been laid out, and which also includes all kinds of fun equipment for children, though parents may also fancy a slide in the chute-the-chute. |
Trout fish pond
De Vogel recreation area is the only campsite in Zeeland Flanders with a trout fishpond, a must for every fishing enthusiast. Of course you can also fish to your heart's content in the large inland lake. There are even special hidey holes between the reeds from where you are in the perfect position to land a whopper. |
Troddler pool
De Vogel has a special toddlers' pool for tiny tots. The water is always nice and warm, and the sanitary facilities with baby washing accommodation are nearby, so that you can take the children clean to the table and to their bed. |
Children's farm
Children and animals are a unique combination. That is why De Vogel recreation area also has a large children's farm on its grounds, where the animals may be petted and cuddled. The animals include horses, goats, a donkey, a llama, kangaroos, chickens, ducks, a peacock, a variety of birds and a complete pot bellied pig family. At feeding time, the children are allowed to help feeding the animals in small groups. Or maybe they fancy a ride on a horse or in the horse-drawn carriage. |
